Debbie Mellett, Managing Director, Label-form Ltd
I am very lucky to have a great team of hardworking, dedicated people around me who are brilliant at what they do. I joined Label-form in 1976 as an office junior and progressed steadily through the company. Label-form supported me through my accounting qualifications, and I became Finance Manager in 1989 and was elected Company Secretary in 1991. Having been with the company for over 37 years, I have gained invaluable knowledge of the label print industry, and I take much pride in what we have achieved over the years.

I started working for Label-form in 1992. I was employed as the Company Quality Controller. My main function was to obtain BS5750! now known as ISO9001. Since then, I have moved around the company and managed in other key areas within the business including Production Control, Sales & Customer Service. My present role involves looking out for new market sectors within the self-adhesive industry and visiting our much-valued and loyal customers.

I studied at The London College of Printing. I have been involved within the print & self-adhesive industry for 26 years, 18 of which has been right here at Label-form where I started as a machine operator. I then moved on to become production controller and, for the past 3 years, I have been the Operations Manager. Key roles: Handling day-to-day Production, Technical Sales & Development, Production Purchasing & Product Development/Research.

I have worked in the label printing industry for 12 years, which includes the last 6 years at Label-form. I started in the sales office as Administrator. I was then promoted to Customer Service Supervisor in 2012. I have learned everything I know about the importance of excellent customer service under the guidance of Stewart Serls.

I have just started my seventh year with the company. My key roles are customer invoicing, allocating payments and banking, looking after the suppliers™ invoices and making payments to them. I also look after the weekly payroll for our production staff and credit control.

I completed a 3 year apprenticeship with the BPiF, achieving an NVQ Level 3 in Desktop Publishing (DTP). Over my 9 years with Label-form, I have gained knowledge in a variety of printing processes.
Key roles: Day-to-day running and maintenance of the Pre-Press department and equipment.
