Label-form was established on 10th August 1964 at 7 High Street, Maidenhead and later moved to Waldeck house, which was a flatted factory building in Maidenhead, specialising in producing labels and dart flights using silk screen, letterpress, flexo and foil processes.  As today, the company sold to various markets including cosmetics, confectionery, industrial, drinks etc.  

During the late 70’s the Company began to outgrow the unit in Waldeck house, so by mutual consent it was decided that a sister company called Decal-form be formed and operate from the ground floor of the same building.   Decal-form specialised in Screen printing so the whole of the screen operations was moved to the new unit and the remaining machines were left at Label-form, which continued business using all other processes.

In 1989, Label-form occupied 3 units in Waldeck house, which didn’t suit the local council who owned the building so the company moved to a standalone building in Reform Road, which is our current site today. The Company re introduced screen process almost immediately and were the first company in the UK to have a reel-to-reel screen combination press.

In 2014, the Company ventured into the Digital Market and bought our first Durst digital press, which arrived in February 2015.  This was subsequently updated to a newer press in 2022.  The digital market is by far the biggest growing process in the label print sector, but most digital presses have a much shorter lifespan than conventional printing.  We still have, to this day, our Letterpress, Flexo, Hot Foil and screen processes so can fulfil all kinds of label requirements and embellishments.  However, we will be looking to purchase a combination press in the near future.

2024 marks the 60th anniversary of Label-form.  Those who have been with us for a long time know it’s been a bit of a rollercoaster along the way, but we’re still here and long may that continue.
